I have been seeing shadow people for about 10 yrs. now. I am 51 yrs. old at this time.
I first started seeing one when I would go to bed, the lights were out and I would see him peeking in my bedroom door out of the corner of my eye. But when I would turn my head to look at him, he would jerk his head back real fast. One night I saw him peeking his head around the doorway and I thought, okay I'm just going to close my eyes and when I open them he will be gone. Then I opened them just in time to see him running up to me about a foot away! It startled me so bad that I jumped and gasped real loud and he disappeared. I was living alone there at that time, shortly later, my boyfriend moved in and we lived there for a few years and then moved.

I still saw him all the time but never said anything to my boyfriend thinking he would think I was nuts. About a year later we were talking one night with some friends about shadow people, and I told them I had seen one where we used to live, my boyfriend said he saw him there also, exactly how I saw him! Peeking into our room! We are no longer together now, and I live in my mothers house, she passed almost a year ago.

I sleep in her room now, and I see shadow people in there almost every night. They don't scare me now though, except the other night. One was standing by the door, I closed my eyes and then opened them again as he was running up to me, exactly like that other time.
