Haunted Locations

The Paranormal Society - Haunted locations by state,
allegedly haunted places

OK, so everyone wants to know if there are haunted places in their area. Here ya go! We created this section with the help from our very good friend Dave Juliano of South Jersey Ghost Research. The directory contains thousands of locations across the U.S. and internationally. But we need your help to keep it growing. If you know of a haunted locations that's not in our directory or one that should be updated, please let us know. We'll credit it to you for the contribution, if you'd like.

These are alleged haunted locations. We're sure some are just cool places or legends. But some may very well be haunted. You be the judge. Feel free to let us know. The more we confirm or disprove, the better for us all.

DISCLAIMER: DO NOT trespass on any of these locations. ALWAYS get permission. Most owners are more than happy to allow you to take a look around. Heck, some might even be willing to allow you to investigate. No matter what, always treat the property with respect. If you get careless and damage someone's private property, it's very unlikely that that owner will allow anyone else there. You could ruin it for everyone, so please have the highest respect and obey all laws.

WARNING: We have not visited all of these locations. We DO NOT know of there exact whereabouts and whether they are safe. If you choose to visit, you are doing so AT YOUR OWN RISK. We ARE NOT liable for any negative results from your visit or actions while on the premises, including personal injury or legal problems.

Safe and Proper Procedures For Visiting Any Haunted Location:

1. Get permission from the owner first. If it's a public place, and you are planning an investigation, notify local police of what you're doing.

2. NEVER go alone.

3. Make sure someone responsible knows where you're going and what you're doing.

4. We highly recommend you visit the location in the daytime before your night visit so you'll be familiar with the locaiton. Make note and be aware of any hazards.

5. If it's in an area that is unsafe (dangerous neighborhood, etc), it's best that you don't go.

6. Have a flashlight with extra batteries and cell phone with you.

7. If it's a building or abandoned home, make note of the exits so you can get out quick if needed.

8. Be aware that some abandoned building and homes can be occupied by drug dealers/users, prostitutes and the homeless.

9. If it doesn't feel right (aside from the goosebumps you may get and the adrenaline kicking in), LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!

With all that boring stuff out of the way, let's go! Chose your destination from the links below. And remember, if you have a location that we should add, or update an existing one, contact us here. Enjoy!
