I thought I would share my NDE and maybe others looking in here will want to share one they have had.
Many happen on the table during surgery but mine is as a result of a fall.
It was Oct 1st the year I do not recall. Its over 20 year's ago I know that. (I dint work in time really ) . I was a at a friends house for the evening and was heading home. I was at the top of the back stairs one moment and splat at the bottom of them the next. I know there was 18 of them and they were grey and painted. I went down them head first. I bounced off everyone of them on the way down to hit chin first on solid cement. I shattered all my teeth on impact and split my chin open. It was like seeing the old cartoons where when hit over the head you see the stars go around you head. I went from my body above it to look down on the mess that was me. Blood and teeth everywhere. I did not get as far as the tunnel they speak of but I knew I was out of my body. ( I astral project) so I knew that feeling.
How I came to learn of the full extent of the injuries I had was 6 months later when finally a Dr agreed that it was not normal to not be able to lay down without pediteding out. I had a CT scan done to show I had a fracture in my neck and a major one in my jaw. It was a year later I could finally open my mouth to have my teeth worked on. I smashed all of them there was no way to get into my mouth to fix them. They were worried if they broke the jaw to fully open the mouth to work on the teeth that would damage the neck fracture more. It has been 6 months so it has started to heal and fuse. I had to wear a brace for a year. In that year I had horrid nightmares could not sleep at all. Was put on Med's that did nothing to calm the nightmares. I finally was sent to see a psychiatrist and he did hypnotherapy on me and found that what I remembered yelling out at the time of the fall was " I will not black out" was in fact "I will not die" once I knew that one he sent me for a heart scan and sure enough it showed damage that proved to me that I had heart failure for a time. I did die for a time. The calling out was me coming back to my body. Now it would be followed up as Post Traumatic Stress but then nothing was known on such things.
Having settled the NDE ex perice that day in the office I slept fine. I knew what my nightmares were trying to tell me.
