found this while i was removing an old stump from the ground and this was in the surrounding area of the roots. no other bone parts were found only the skull was there any help or if i could get pointed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting the pic. All I can say is WOW! That is really a strange looking skull (if that's indeed what it is). I have never seen anything quite like it.  I suppose it could be some type of common animal, something we're familiar with. But maybe it's just not obvious because the skull of an animal isn't a common thing to see.

I don't have any answers for you at this moment, but I will work on it today. I'll send it to some of our group members and see what they can come up with.

I'll post later today, or as soon as I get some answers. Also, if you have a higher resolution photo, could you send it directly to me via email? Looks to me like a part of a mask or some sort of model.
