The Ghost Adventures Crew"A One Hour Pure Adrenaline Rush" - That's how we describe Ghost Adventures.
Ghost Adventures is a one-hour weekly reality-based paranormal television documentary that airs on Travel Channel. The crew, investigators Zak Bagans and Nick Groff, along with investigator/equipment tech Aaron Goodwin, travel to some of the most haunted locations in the U.S. and abroad. The show is narrated by Bagans, who is also the primary host and lead investigator.

Prior to each investigation, they interview owners/caretakers and/or witnesses who have experienced the paranormal activity reported at each location. They also research the history and gather as much information as possible, including any legends that may surround the haunted location. Then they get lcoked-down for the night in search of paranormal activity.

The series originally began with a two hour documentary special that was filmed in 2004 and aired on Sy-Fy in 2007. The documentary became such a huge hit that it spawned the series, which was moved to Travel Channel in 2008 and produced by My Tupelo Entertainment. Nick Groff and Zak Bagans are the executive producers.

 The Investigation

Ghost Adventures Investigations - Ohio Reformatory
They begin by touring the location, along with witnesses, to reveal spots of higher avtivity and to get a feel of the layout. They then plan their strategy. Once they're ready, they get locked inside the location from "dusk-to-dawn". During the entire investigation, there is no big production crew with them... only one audio tech. They go into each "lockdown" with the intention of confronting negative entities that inhabit the location. Bagans and Groff use a provoking technique in order to stimulate the spirits, which results in them becoming active. This technique has been proven to get solid results andables them to capture some of the most impressive "ghost" evidence to date. The provoking technique is used solely for confronting any negative presence. Other spirits in the location are treated with respect, which has been demonstrated by the crew time and time again.

 The Equipment

Zak, Nick and Aaron use a variety of equipment, some of which has never been used before in paranormal investigations. Some of that includes: Digital thermometers, both digital and analog EMF (Electro-Magetic Field) detectors, digital photo cameras, hi-definition video cameras equipped with Infrared night vision, stand-alone Infrared illuminators and digital voice recorders. Some of the unique equipment used is: The Spirit Box (sometimes referred to as Frank's Box) EMF generators (known as "EMF Pumps") and a large EMF generator powered by a Tesla Coil (used in the Oct. 30th, 2009 live investigation of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum).

 The Evidence

Ghost Adventures EvidenceAfter the investigation, the guys typically review the evidence and confer with some of the most respected experts in the paranormal field, including renowned Demonologist John Zaffis, paranormal expert Jeff Belanger, Bishop James Long, evidence specialist Billy Tolley and EVP specialists Mark and Debby Constantino. To date, Zak, Nick and Aaron have captured some of the most impressive evidence ever in the paranormal world. Despite their "go get em" attitude, the guys are very careful with the evidence and scrutinize it heavily. If there's a logical or obvious explaination for a piece of evidence, or if a piece is disproven, it's tossed aside.
