:( Last night i had the same dream I've had before time and time again. my experience starts off like this. im in my bed trying to get to sleep. as i feel my self dozz off i start to hear a soft ring that slowly gets louder like a wave of it and at the point when then ringing is at its loudest i start to hear popping and i feel myself awake but i know that my body is not, its like you can see with your eyes close. So after the popping stops i feel like im in my room but there are ppl there with me but not there. its like my awareness is at its peak.i can sense them but cant see them i also can hear talking but i cant make out the conversation. when this happens i freak out, i then awaken from my bed not knowing how i got there when i was near the door in my dream. I've read about sleep paralysis and astral traveling before and i dont know if i am going into the astral plan when i dream.
So if anyone else wanna share there comments im all ears and if anyone else had this happen share with me i would love to hear your story

Hi. I think in astral travel, you feel yourself leave your body and can often see your body sleeping on the bed as you rise above. I've never done it, mind you. But this is kind of what I understand people report.

In sleep paralysis, your brain feels awake, but your body can't move. I think this has physical explanations and isn't paranormal, but people feel like something is holding them down sometimes.

What you are experiencing might be simply a recurring dream, or it might be a paranormal experience. It's hard to tell.

My sister would have this weird recurring dream when she was younger. She heard an alarm clock sound, then she heard voices of children like you'd expect to hear at a swimming pool. She couldn't move. THen, she would hear the alarm clock alarm go again and could move and come out of it. She never figured out if she was sleeping and dreaming or if she was really paralyzed!

hey Gizmo well the thing is i know that im not connected to my body because sometimes if i look back at my bed i can see me but this only happened twice to me when i had that experience. i been having this event since i was young. it does not happen all the time, thank the creator(god).i once saw myself sleeping but i was sitting up in bed looking down at me back then i thought it was a dream, but i know now that it was astral traveling. thank you for your opinion its opened up my mind up even more. i feel like its more on the astral side then the sleep paralysis side cuz i can feel myself moving like normal but i have no body. its hard to explain it.

Here, you're describing a classic OBE. (Out of Body Experience)

This is like some people describe during near death experiences, except in an out of body experience, you aren't dying or dead. You are just aware of your consciousness leaving your physical body. Some people report a silver cord that connects them to their bodies. Others don't.

There are a lot of good references and books about OBEs. Why not explore a little by reading about other people's experiences?
