Hi everyone,
Let me begin by saying i am as sane as you get, as critical and studied as a cryptologist so saying there is paranormal activity going on in my house and splashing it out on the internet is at the very least humbling. But my family needs help. I have 3 kids, a husband myself, 2 cats, and one dog. Things have always been a little weird in our house, but its always been benign or playful. I.e. stealing notes, things missing, singing deep in the house, toys working that were broken for months etc. etc.

In the past 1 1/2 to 2 years things have gotten creepier, more sinister, and definetly more scary. Shadow people are now being asked if they want a plate for dinner and if they are spending the night (I am KIDDING on the dinner and staying the night) no, thatb not true. The Shadow People are around during the day, the night, the morning, the evening. Get my point? Jeez, right now my K2 meter is flashing at me. Green, Yellow Brigh Red, Red Red now to base green. Yup, this is my life. Its not fun seeing the pin prick of light then looking at my Husband's face to see that horrible trace of fear knowing he saw the thing stop and look directly at him. Other times they are truly what people say, a big blacker than black, menecing horrible creatures that fill you with fear and dispare of them never leaving your home in peace again.

My Husband has been put in a psyuchic sleep, he usually always hears me get up or move around. He's a light sleeper. But on the nights that I wake up yelling to the point I find myself screaming (and I wake up in the same room next to the same wall more times than not) or I find myself talking/crying out or (gulp) outside and not knowing where I am or how I got there. In my nightgown in the cold at that!

Other scenarios are we were sleeping on the couch in the livingroom one night, the kids were in bed and Husband and I heard very clear a deep growling, male voice (don't ask me how I know it's a male, I just know). It was not the Dog, the cats, the kids, the outside elements (Not unless someone shove the kids in the couch cushions but I checked on them too). My entire family has smelled a 'spot' or small area thatb smells like burning, or sewer, or rotting meat but never sulfer. It is always localized in one spot, never near sinks, bathrooms,vents, etc. No logical explanations. It's frusturating. It's scary as (you fill in your choice of words)

Five days ago, whatever this entity is, attacked me while I was home alone with one child. He also never woke up with my shouting, yelling, whimpering, or nar screaming voice teling it to go away, and stop touching me. We have tried taking ownership of our home. So far it's not working. We have tried twice. The thing will play with electronics, blow up stoves, make lights blow, turn lights on, off, change channels, and turn off the phone so we cant contact our children. This has happend more than once. It can't stand us talking about it. And it will travel over the phone lines if you mock or disbelive it to be real. Ask the people it has happend to.
I need help. My Kids need help. My Husband needs help. Heck, lets throw the animals in there too as they see things and chase things around as well. Can anyone help or have someone who can help contact us? This is not for a TV show, or publicity. We wish to remain confidential anonymous unless its to find a solution to my dilemma. The property we live on has a known history of being in existance since colonial May Flower days.

Also, what you are describing sounds malicious at best, if this were a demon you would know. There'd be physical harm done for sure, a demon has no issues hurling a desk or refrigerator at your head. We usually tell members this: if the person was a jerk in life, they will be a jerk in death, if they were a good person in life, they'll usually be a good spirit. Try the smudging ceremony first, cleanse the negative energy in your home. It is very important to not show it the fear (easier said than done I know) but it is important to assert your ownership of the home. Be down right mean if you have to. Know that it is your space and this entity no matter what or who it is has no business there. Hi Elizabeth, I agree with Marissa. Sounds like a pissed off spirit. Demonic hauntings are actually pretty rare so one step at a time. The smudging and cleansing of the home and people first. You may have to include the land later, that's a little more involved. What part of the country do you live in? I'm on the West coast and we have a lot of Indian land here that is haunted. We have found it is much easier to make peace with them than try to exorcise them. We will do whatever we can to help.

First and foremost I want to say Thank you for not laughing my story. I thought I would have to turn in my certified sane paperwork when I actually told the world what my family is going through. It makes me smile to know there are still good people in the world. A couple things I left out of the story I originally posted ( I didn't want it too unbelievable)we have been scratched before. I have been bitten once (or the red mark was there, I never felt anything when it happend). I think I have pics of whatever is here. Something compelled me to take a pic of my livingroom window around 2 o'clock in the a.m. What is in the window looks like a demonic person in clown makeup all over its face but eyes and mouth (as my Dad described it) Its smiling or leering, cant tell. Not sure what to call it. Its on my phone so the image has to be enlarged some. After taking multiple pics it only showed up once. I always take at least three of the same thing.

When I read your response, I could have cried it was so easy. Retaliation has been the main reason we have not tried smudging before. I wasn't sure exactly how to deal with something I was unsure of. Now mind you, I would much rather take ur expertise instead of my noive to amature experiance. Thank God the most we have had thrown at us is a brush and a luch box. The reason why I thought demonic was the voice I heard concerning Church. It told me God didn't want me anymore (I had not been to Church in over 14 years and just recently started going and reading the Bible again. It also said I was fallen away. He will never get a chance to get me back. Now this was not in my head (again I dont believe I am being this open about something so freaking personal) and no it was not my concious, guilt, or anything of that matter. It was a deep, male voice, Older male, full of sarcasm and hate. It made me burst into tears.

I hold much respect for the American Indian. They got a crappy deal and still do from our wonderful goverment. I don't want to tread on them personally. Mid Atlantic is fine, I just needed an area. You are in the oldest part of the US and there are many haunted places on the East coast. I don't get the feeling that it's Native American. From the description of the things happening, I am still thinking pissed spirit, worst case minor demon. Both are scary cause of the amount of negative energy they put off. And yes, they can be energy vampires too. You need to clear the people in the house and, I now this will be easier said than done, but try not to be scared or angry. They feed off of strong negative emotion. They are bullies. Make it plain that they are not welcome. Be respectful, but forceful. If you can, get any history on the house or the actual land that it sits on. The more information we have, the easier it will be to figure it out. And no, we are not here to judge. We will ask questions, some more than others, but mostly because we have had people on here who were less than honest about their situations. Hang in there!

I'm not an expert. But this doesn't sound like your typical pissed off spirit.
You describe bad smells, scratches, attacks, growls, things thrown at you.

I would leave my mind open that it might be a demonic presence. But, if you're saying it has gone on for a long time and is getting more pushy, it might just be something that is seeing a way in and taking advantage.

If you smudge and clear the house with prayers (some people say that telling them to leave in the name of Jesus can work, if this is your faith) If it's demonic this might just piss it off, but so what? If it's messing up your lives, you have to defend yourself. Try putting crosses over doorways after you smudge. If you are reading the Bible and it objects, this might work with it. A spirit that is against you having a faith - points to a disturbed one, or something more.

I'd demand in no uncertain terms that it leave. Stacey can give you some cleansing ceremonies, if you want to try those.

I do not like that it has attacked physically.

I'd like to ask if you have ever used a Ouija board, or held seances in the house in the past. Or has anyone else? Sometimes, but certainly not always, if you are not careful, you have essentially invited something in. The trick is now to close that door and get it to move on.

I think you describe a very critical situation. If you feel at any time that it is out of hand, or that you or your family are in danger, please get out of the house.
