For those of you who don't know, I spent July 21st thru July 29th in Pine, CO. My birthday was July 24th and my BF took me to the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. The GA boys did an investigation there a few years ago. The fourth floor is the most haunted floor and we got room 407. We had 3 experiences the night we were there. We were watching tv and both saw shadow people in the bathroom. That night, the right side of the curtains flew open. They are the really heavy ones some hotels use. The next morning we had breakfast in the main dining room and Scott was ordering the Stanley Benedict and joking with the waitress that he hoped Mr. Stanley would share his breakfast. All of a sudden Scott was saying he smelled old kerosene all around him. I was right there and smelled nothing. I told him that Mr. Stanley was telling him he heard the comment.
The rest of the week was really active at the cabin as well. I heard footsteps at night in the bedroom and a sliding sound on my side of the bed on the floor. I heard footsteps downstairs and on the stairs. The most interesting thing was the metal sculpture that threw itself at me 3 times. The sculpture was made by a friend of Scott's who passed away about 4 years ago. As I walked past it, it fell off the wood stove 3 separate times. It weighs about 10 lbs. and has been there for years. I thought it was maybe vibrations from walking past it on the wood floor, but Scott is 6'7" and stomps past it all the time. He saw it fall 2 of the times and couldn't figure out how it fell. I also realized that Scott is now driving the guy's old Blazer and owns another sculpture of his. So, I see the connection but we can't figure out why he's being active all of a sudden. Scott also noticed that a few things on a high shelf were moved. One was a heavy stein, it was side ways and a pic in a metal frame was leaning forward. The shelf is high up and out of the way of traffic, vibrations and wind.
It was a great vacation and a good way to introduce Scott to the paranormal world.
